Riverfront Park
This park lies in the heart of St. Johns and is River and Fern's namesake. With a stunning view directly on the water, on certain evenings the setting sun sets the Spanish moss aflame. You'll find a variety of backdrops; from ferns, palmettos, and 100+ year old oaks, drift wood, shallow brackish waters, or wooded paths, Riverfront provides a plethora of options, so long as you're playful enough to get wet and climb some trees! Camp Milton
About as far west as you can go in Jacksonville lies a battleground veined with shallow creek beds to splash in. A client favorite, this location holds one of Jax's best places to take some jaw-dropping portraits. On both sunny days and cloudy, this secret spot truly shines. Requires a moderate hike and sloped terrain to access.
Big Talbot Island
Also known as Boneyard Beach and one of Jax's most famous spots, it's known for the large, sun-bleached, and salt-worn skeletons of trees that line the shoreline, creating a dramatic and otherworldly landscape. This spot is especially fun for kids, as they can climb and weave themselves between the ribs of fallen trees. This spot requires a moderate hike and sloped terrain to access.
Vilano Beach
One of the only beach locations near Jacksonville with climbable rocks, this location will elevate any beach session. Trail the rocks to their edge or nestle into the foam lathered by the sea. Vilano feels like something out of a live-action Disney movie.
Alpine Groves Park
A local favorite to many photographers, Alpine Groves is the sight of a restored Edwardian Era home and former orange grove. The name sake of Hallow's Cove in Switzerland, Florida, the property holds deep roots in the area. With backdrops against old rusted barns, a vintage white house, or dock the pierces the river, you'll find many places to explore and nestle into for photos. This location has easy access.
